Kiera Jefferson grew up in Delray Beach, a small beach town in South Florida. Raised by her mother along with her twin brothers and two sisters. She started doing theater in middle school and continued to perform in high school. However, her high school theater teacher, Mr. Coppola is the one who introduced her to improv at a young age. She went on to join an improv group called Oncoming Traffic while getting her degree in Creative Writing from Florida State University. In her last year at FSU she started doing some work with the undergrad film school and her last year as a Seminole she co-wrote and starred in an MFA film titled "Pulling U".

Kiera always knew she had a knack and a love for comedy so she followed her dreams to New York City. In the big apple she studied and performed at The Magnet Theater and Upright Citizens Brigade under such teachers as Anthony Atamanuik, Shannon O'Neil, Ben Rameaka and Doug Moe, among others. After almost 7 years in NYC she decided to make a change and move cross country to the city of angels. Upon arrival Kiera studied at The Groundlings before enrolling in classes at John Rosenfeld Studios.
